25 Random Things About Me

I posted this on Facebook - if you don't have one, get one. It's free and I've found more lost friends on there than any of the Classmates or Reunion websites. It's fun to communicate and faster than email.
I have learned a lot about friends from reading this. After coming up with 25, I thought of others throughout the day (and added them below). It's a great mind tingler. I recommend all of you do this and if you have facebook - add me! :)

Cheryl

1. I was born in Southern CA.
2. I have 6 sisters and 4 brothers (combined marriages)
3. I don't know my biological father but my dad adopted me when I was 2 (I think) and knew me since I was in the womb so he gets the "DAD" title in my book.
4. I lived in CA for 6 yrs before my parents moved us to Snohomish WA where I'd remain until I was 14. Then we moved to Everett and after that - well, we won't go there.
5. I love to move around. (see #4)
6. I have 2 amazing children we adopted when they were 3 & 4.
7. My children make me a better person and mother - for that I am eternally grateful.
8. My husband makes me a better wife and mother. I was indeed very lucky to have found him.
9. I met my husband in a bar and didn't like him at first (I found him very funny by the end of the night and saw him as "a guy I could hang out with"). We were friends for a few months before we dated. I knew the first time he kissed me that he was the one that I would marry - I'd drug him if I had to.
10. I've been married to the most amazing husband for 15 years.
11. I love photography.
12. I play video games - especially XBOX 360 Call of Duty (WaW)
13. My favorite shows are: 30 Rock, Damages, Lie to Me, Dexter, Weeds, Big Love, Ugly Betty, Entourage, Lipstick Jungle, America's Next Top Model, So You Think You Can Dance and American Idol (after the dumb interview process).
14. I've been to Amsterdam, Denmark, Paris, Costa Rica and a few places in the Netherlands, Canada and Mexico.
15. I want to go to Australia, Greece, Italy, Spain, England, Germany & Russia
16. I love my hair long but pull it back nearly every day.
17. I love my house but want a 1 story if we ever move again.
18. I think my husband walks on water most days.
19. My children are amazing but I don't think I tell them that enough.
20. My life is a charmed one - I'm not sure how I got where I am today, but it's my testiment to guardian angels and a higher power.
21. I want to shoot with Nigel Barker on Americas Next Top Model one day.
22. One of my closest friends I've never met (Kelly Munce) but I've had her neice stay with me and a friend of hers (fellow photographer Rob Heyman).
23. I have 2 amazing friends, are also my neighbors, who I can share anything with and not feel judged. I believe in my heart that they are those "life friends" you don't get very often in life.
24. I love Facebook - I've found people I haven't seen in over 15 yrs here.
25. I love the people associated in the industry I am in because they are probably the most giving individuals you could encounter.

A few more random things:
I can't go to sleep without taking off my makeup and brushing my teeth - no matter how tired I am.
I haven't drank alcohol in 16 yrs and don't miss it at all.
I don't smoke - it literally makes me sick.
I hate to iron clothes - I'd rather be wrinkled (unless it's a job interview) or use a dry cleaner.
I usually want a new car every 2 yrs but have managed to keep my current one for 4. Yay me.
I hate the thought of exercise but enjoy it once I start doing it.
Did I mention that I have the best husband in the world? Cause I do.
I too, have to return my shopping cart (unless it's raining hail and they don't have a return anywhere near my car, then I try to find a safe place (but never leave it in the space I'm parked in).
I love chocolate - especially white.
I lost my father in 2000 to brain cancer - I was relieved that he didn't suffer but silently wished I had more time with him.
I've had experiences (yes plural) with ghosts. Never a bad one, but one was a prankster that several friends had encountered as well (so no, I'm not insane - they didn't know about it before hand either). :)

New Year's Butt?

My girlfriend Tiff told me about this exercise routine Gwyneth Paltrow posted on her blog. We decided to try the "10 day challenge" and see if it works ourselves.
Anyone up for the challenge? Here's the link to the Quicktime video her personal trainer gave her for the New Year's Butt exercises
You can download it to your video playing iPod or just keep it on your computer if you want to watch and do them.

If you want to give this a go - let me know. I want to hear your results as well!

A Few of My Favorite Things:

My New Years resolution is always the same - Resolve not to make any. :)

I wanted to share a few of my favorite things I have recently discovered.

I'm back to watching my weight after a very bountiful holiday season. I recently discovered an amazing website that has great recipes that are light and Weight Watcher friendly (includes the points too!).
HUNGRY GIRL - the website will send you emails with delicious recipes when you sign up for an email update.

Wii Fit - I can not tell you how much I love this for my Wii! I love exercizing again and try to do about an hour a day of Yoga/Strength & Aerobic (some balance as well!). If you've been thinking about it, I HIGHLY recommend it! I hated exercizing but this has made it so much fun.

Angelic Dreamz - I found this great place with awesome stockings - the most adoreable one's I've seen in a long time.
