They Made the Playoffs!

Congratulations LINX! My son's team made the playoffs - we are so excited for them!!!!
Tracy, we are so proud of you and how much you've put into this! You are amazing. Can't wait for Saturday!

Vengance Is Sweet

For the past few weeks, my husband has been schooling me in Halo 3. Well, revenge is mine with the release of Guitar Hero III! I have been killing him today! :) We play on "easy" mode. Our neighbor came over and really schooled us on what "great" playing is. He's AMAZING. I don't know how he does so well - my playing is dumb luck for the most part. His is skill for sure. I love the wireless guitar and the new "challenge matches" you get on this edition. So far, it's really been fun.

Chivalry is dead?

For the past few weeeks, I've been playing Halo 3 online. I am SO addicted. The typical age of a player there is males, 14-25 yrs old, I think (I don't have stats on hand, it's just my guess).

Online, I find that the boys/guys are SO polite to me. In fact, I think I'm worse than you'd assume they are. I was so impressed with how nice the young kids are as well. Someone's teaching their kids to behave out there. However, you do hear the occassional kid talking smack and it's nearly always followed with "Hey! There's a lady in the room! Watch your mouth!". I love it! :)
If you have Halo 3 - you can look me up under Cheryl O. I'm out there...just waiting. I personally play in Rumble Pit a lot. Social Slayer is great too.

Turning 40

It's my 39th birthday and I'm thinking to myself - 'I think turning 39 is actually worse than turning 40.'

Why? I am going to have 1 yr to dred turning 40. ONE YEAR to remind myself that "next year is the big FOUR-0". When you turn Forty, that's it - one day, done and finished.

I did this when I was turning 30 too - dredding that day but once that day happened, that was it.

What will 50 do to me? Hee hee.

I just want to take really good care of myself and lose that weight and try to look how I feel inside (which is only "almost 40" when my back is hurting or my memory has lapses). :)

For all my friends who are in your 40's - tell me, what do you love about it, what do you hate about it and how much does your age have to do with it? For those in your 30's - what do you worry about when getting another year older? Does age matter?

Love Your Dog

I never blog about the animals, but my dog is certainly responsible for more than a few gut-busting laughs with her silly behavior. I love how LOVED I feel when I walk in the door and she's so excited to see me (even if I was just running back in to grab my keys). Suki is a momma's girl - following me all around the house. She loves the kids as much as we do and is just as excited to see them when they walk through the door after school. When summer gave way to the school year, she mooped around the house for a week.
My dog is getting up there in age, but she doesn't look or act like she's 11.
Simply put, my dog rocks. I need to go get some photos of her - I don't have enough. I'll post some later.
Tell me about your favorite animal.
And go get your favorite animal a special treat today - they earn it every day!

Watch Out World - Here Comes Hanna!

She's an amazing teen with an attitude most envy - especially at my age. This beauty is even more incredible with her inner gorgeousness. She's blessed with beauty but she really cares more about what she is on the inside which just makes me adore her even more. She is going to do amazing things in life - watch out world...Here Comes Hanna!!!

Gift Ideas

The holiday season is fast approaching! Besides the custom cards I make, I wanted to give you ideas for gifts for family.

SLIDESHOWS: There are DVD Slideshows you can purchase of your session which are on special through November for $50 ($30 for each additional copy) - not to be combined with other specials/offers/discounts. Want to add more than one session? We can do that, just add $10 for each additional date.

CARDS - you can make a personal "thank you" card or just a blank card with your photo on it. Card pricing starts at $50 for 5x7 postcard style. 25 count w/envelopes.

HANDBAGS: Personalize the one thing you carry every day! I have a huge assortment of handbags, including backpacks, notebook computer covers, messenger/computer bags, etc., in nearly every shape and size you can imagine. Lunch bags too! Pricing starts at $30.

ITALIAN FRESCO TILES: I love these tiles. Designed with a distressed look, they are wonderful and unique. Use more than one for a wall gallery.

PHOTOBOOKS/COFFEE TABLE BOOKS: For a truly unique and wonderful gift, a photo book is the way to say "I Love You" all year long.

FOR THE LADIES: Want to give yourself something this year? Have you been losing weight, working out, fine toning those abs? You can celebrate that victory with the "Secret Session". Tasteful boudior sessions in the privacy of your home. Complete with a makeup session from a makeup artist. Price includes 8x8 book and small food items & drinks. If needed, you may come to my place to take the photos. This is good to do during school/work hours. Dates are limited so book early for Christmas delivery. This is just as much for you as it is for "him" - ask any of the women who've done one and they will tell you how much fun it is (even if they were nervous at first).

Life & Death of a Pumpkin

One of my favorite movies about pumpkins (there are so many to pick from)...

Congratulations Brooke & Galen!

I had the honor of documenting the wedding of Brooke & Galen on Sept 29th, 2007.

This couple can find a slice of heaven anywhere. Here we are in an alley. See what I mean?
They are so in love and an absolute dream to work with. Thank you both for making this day so fun and enjoyable. You really were amazing to work with.
